I am done being told to push students through, to ignore their lack understanding, to minimize their potential as learners, and to move on even though students need more time. Overpopulated classrooms, teaching to the test, backwards planning, and calendar paced progression is overwhelming and ineffective. As a result, I now offer private tutoring sessions for K-12 students. Together, we can tap into learning style and focus on developing self-confidence and a strong knowledge base.
My goal is to empower and lift students to recognize their potential as learners. Tutoring for mastery empowers learning, not memorization. Learning is a powerful, life-long skill that everybody can develop.
I hold a California teaching credential in Science and Math for all education levels: elementary school, middle school, and high school. With 20+ years experience in public, private, homeschooling, EdTech, live-stream instruction, and tutoring, I come with confidence that all students can be successful learners!
I am most proud of developing life-long relationships with students, and seeing them succeed in their chosen life paths. I look forward to seeing more students flourish with confidence in their learning skills.
